9 month update.

Wow! It's been a very long time since my last post. My last post: Gustav. I arrived in LA that weekend for a "three-four day adventure." It eventually lasted 7 days, without sleep mind you. I was paid nicely and the children were amazing. I made memories there that I will cherish forever. Larissa and Tasha became friends of mine and most importantly, I feel like I had the chance to make a difference. 

Anyway, the plane returned me to Memphis alive and my family was there waiting. My mom and dad spent the weekend and we enjoyed a trip to the zoo, Graceland, and shopping. The year continued on ... and I'm still here in Memphis. I am still living in the apartment. However, there has been a new addition! A PUP! Her name is Reeses (chocolate and peanut butter). She is a shepherd/lab mix that we rescued from Sunny Meadows (www.sunnymeadows.org). The first three weeks with her were HELL! We live to far away from our "home" to take in a new puppy who is not housebroken. We made it though, and we now have an 8 month old baby girl! She recently acquired a new friend: Reese. No she is not schizophrenic - her friend has the same name! We've been hanging out at the dog park, swimming pool, and yard a lot since the weather warmed up finally.

So, with that ... I put an end to this update. Maybe the next one won't be 9 months later.
